New containers are so-called “One Trip” containers. They were used for only one trip. For used containers (second-hand container), we only offer you Grade “CW” containers, which is the highest grade for a used container.
The “CW” grade means that the container could return to sea, to make other voyages. These containers are waterproof, windproof and weatherproof. The price is generally higher but you will keep your container for several years to come.
The “CW” grade does not mean that your container will be free from dents or rust, it is important to understand that a used container has spent many years at sea.
* For used containers we cannot guarantee a specific color. Used containers are always delivered on a “first come, first served” basis.
ISO shipping containers are made primarily of corrosion resistant CORTEN steel. Since CORTEN steel has better rust resistance properties than conventional steel, these containers have a longer lifespan.
The floors are 28mm marine plywood. The quality of this plywood exceeds that of regular plywood because it has a high density, which results in a very low moisture content which prevents mold growth and the spread of harmful insects. This is why they are able to withstand frequent shipments at sea.
The standard shipping container includes air vents to control humidity levels, handles and locking bars on each door to keep contents as secure as possible. Our containers are mainly painted in ivory color RAL 1015.
CTR International Inc. offers delivery of your containers directly to the destination, or you can contract your carrier to pick up your container directly from our Montreal depot.
All containers must be paid, before scheduling a pick-up or delivery, by bank transfer, without exception (Secure payment by Desjardins)
* For a larger order, we can “customize” your containers by also including your company prefix, logo, color on the containers. In addition, it is possible to install additional air vents, bamboo floors, ultra-light “Corten” steel, padlock boxes, storage boxes, storage racks on the containers. We also manufacture specialized containers for all types of services (mining exploration, oil, decontamination, transport of liquid, grain, bulk articles and we provide custom modified containers for all your projects.
